SweepBay is an app for iPhone made by Rakaworks. This policy explains what the app does with your information.

What stays on your device

Saved cars, parking spots, parking history, reminder times and settings are stored only on your device. The street cleaning schedules are built into the app, so looking up your block does not use the internet. You can erase everything with Delete my data in Settings & Help, or by deleting the app.

Location

If you allow it, the app reads your location to save where you parked. With Always access it can do this when your phone disconnects from your car's Bluetooth or CarPlay, even if the app is closed, and clear the spot when you drive away. Your position is matched against the street data on the phone and is never sent to the developer. You can also park manually with Park here or Pick on map.

Services the app contacts

The app contacts very few outside services.

• Apple Maps, to draw the map
• The SweepBay feedback service, only when you choose to send feedback

Each provider handles requests under its own privacy policy, as with any map or weather app.

Notifications

Cleaning reminders are scheduled locally on your phone. They are not sent through a server.

Feedback

If you use Tell us in Settings & Help, the app sends the message you typed, the topic you picked, the app version and your iPhone model. Your street name and spot are included only if you leave Include my current spot on, and your email only if you type one so we can reply. This is used only to answer you and fix the data.

What the app does not do

• No accounts or sign-in
• No advertising or ad tracking
• No analytics or third-party tracking SDKs
• No sale or sharing of personal data

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Data sources

Street cleaning schedules come from the open data portals of San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Berkeley and South San Francisco. Parking lot and garage outlines come from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License.

Guidance only

SweepBay is a helper, not a guarantee. City schedules can change and posted street signs always take priority. The developer is not responsible for parking tickets.

Changes and contact
